Datsun R Fun
I have a 79 620 i need get exhaust donut, only thing guys at parts store had to offer me was the flat gasket that has 2 exhaust holes and 3 bolts. so i am wondering if some one could tell me the specs for that doughnut as to what size i would need or the doorman part number for compatible doughnut ? the original one was no where to be found. bananahamuck
There is no doughnut the exhaust pipe bulges at the end and fits snuggly into manifold.. I don`t have a picture of it Quote Link to comment
kelowg
I like getting exhaust hot and retighten them to make sure it seals good. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The two hole is for L16/18 and the only one so this is why they offer it. The L20B pipe extends about 3/16" or so up into the exhaust manifold above the flange. With use they seal very well. I wouldn't try to use a gasket it will only blow out. Quote Link to comment
Datsun R Fun
so are all l20b likely to have this setup? i ask cause the pick n pull has a 75 pretty sure it had l20b stamped on it. and exhaust system in decent shape. has anyone seen the truck at lakewood pick n pull in last few weeks ? HRH
The only reason you would have a traditional donut is if someone modified the exhaust. In which case, just get an exhaust donut from a Chevy six cylinder, it will probably be about right. There are only about 3 sizes of traditional donuts if someone has put one on your truck.
