Xnke Posted June 14, 2013 Report Share Posted June 14, 2013 Hardware store washers are NOT up to the job...the Nissan part is ground flat on both sides and is a hardened, thick washer. Using a soft, stamped, crappy hardware store washer will cause you problems later, including but not limited to: Headbolts loosing torque, uneven stretching, damage to the cylinder head casting, broken headbolts and probably other maladies. The proper hardened, ground, thick washer is available from Nissan or from Mcmaster Carr, just look. Quote Link to comment
