Farmer
Hit Port Angeles, Take 101 all the way to Olympia. It'll change into Hwy 8 about 11 miles to Olympia Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
That's what I did for Canby '10. Really liked the drive down to Olympia. Quote Link to comment
AutoArt
Here's some detour routes for anyone unfamiliar with the area's highways etc... http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/Construction/PugetSound/detourmap.htm Specifically, southbound-- or southbound option B-- then, on your way north again-- or northbound option B, slightly different from the southbound option B-- Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
I was thinking of going to Port Angeles and going down the coast to the Columbia River and up to Portland maybe. Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
I was thinking of going to Port Angeles and going down the coast to the Columbia River and up to Portland maybe. If you do that ,, from what i understand the bridge over north river on state route 105 ,, may not be marked on a map,, ( just north of Smith creek state wildlife area) is being repaired and they make you wait for like 45 minutes at a time to cross..So using the 101 from Monte to Raymond and skipping 105 coastal "Grayland, North cove, Tokeland" route ,,,,,,,,, may be advisable... :) Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Pfft. an hour wait is ok. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
Cool cuz the scenery between Tokeland and Raymond is pretty bitchen .. One more tip , if driving through Raymond and South Bend , if the sign says 25 mph ,,, they aint bullshitting you,,,,, not even a little bit.. Quote Link to comment
paisa13
I went through it a few times this past weekend, going northbound and southbound! Wasn't too bad driving through the detour on Riverside, not too worse than normal Seattle traffic! Quote Link to comment
