sick620
What you will need: Screwdriver 8 Bolts that are slightly longer than the originals with 8 matching nuts and 8 washers of your choice. Knife Step one: Unhook the 2 wires hooked to clearance light Step two: Remove 2 screws shown here Step three: Remove assembly from panel Remove metal clips shown and discard Discard metal ring shown Step four: On a 620, and possibly other models you cant keep the rubber surrounding on the back lights without cutting it or removing it becasue it gets in the way. So if doing this mod on a 620 I suggest just removing the black cover from the light housing. there are multiple ways of doing this, and the way I will show you is just the option a personally use. cut around this rubber piece, then pull the rubber off the light body and pull the chord thru and remove the rubber entirely. you will be left with this Forget this step if working on front fender lights, the rubber can be left on. Step five: Place lens on metal housing and set the whole assembly behind the body panel. Run screws with washers through holes. Secure with nuts from behind, repeat steps for all 4 lights on vehicle.... Don't forget to plug them all back in when your done Finished product Quote Link to comment
JoeCool
Pretty cool. Although technically that isn't "frenched." Quote Link to comment
sick620
its the closest thing you can get without shaving the holes and welding studs on the back... Quote Link to comment
Sealik
From this???? To that??? Maybe if the exterior was fitted with some thin black trim and or to cover those bolts and 'indentations' in the metal 1 Quote Link to comment

Maybe if the exterior was fitted with some thin black trim and or to cover those bolts and 'indentations' in the metal im pretty sure a wash and buff will take care of that line and dirt pretty nicely... Druid
you could probably use a bolt with a domed head that has no slot in order to get those screws looking smoother. they have them where theres a square protrusion just above the threads to keep them from rotating, kinda like a small carriage bolt? Druid
oh and i forgot to add, with a dremmel and the right wheel attachment (not just a grinding stone) one could probably gently round the sheet metal inward so that the finished product is smoother and looks like it came that way. olderdat620
I like those clearance lights where can I get those Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I like the flush clearance lights but removing them is illegal and unsafe. Their whole point is to make the vehicle visible to others in the dark and to tell front from back. Don't complain if someone T bones your truck while it's parked overnight. Quote Link to comment
olderdat620
With all due respect dtzmike all the lights are still there 1 Quote Link to comment
