datsunaholic Posted April 4, 2013 Report Share Posted April 4, 2013 78-79 gauges are identical. The speedometer is the same internally on all years, but only late 77-79 have a inner KPH scale. The idiot light section is different 72-75 and 76-79, but that's the only 2 versions. However there is wiring differences between automatic and Manuals, as some have a speedometer switch and some don't. Some Manuals do (usually late) and some Automatics do too (usually early).
