kelowg
anyone know if 620 kingpin knuckle/spindals can be fitted onto the 521? if so what pins and bushing would i use, 521 or 620 or combination of the two? thinking since king pins are bad and wheel bearings r orginal, 620 bearings are still availalbe but 521 bearings r not. but 521 kp kits have gotten hard to find except ones priced over 200.00 Quote Link to comment
what
Kelowg. I have a set of 2 king pins in my garage brand new old stock from Japan. I live in Salem, Oregon and the shipping would be super cheap. This is a complete kit. I will send you a private message with my number. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
320/520/521 are all the same. 620's are their own. Full king pin kits can be had on eBay frequently for less than $50/shipped. Quote Link to comment
wayno
I have bought and used these on ebay, this seller has a 100% positive feedback rating. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DATSUN-320-520-521-PICK-UP-KING-PIN-KIT-JAPAN-NOS-/370752002276?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item56528a98e4&vxp=mtr The problem is that it takes time to get the parts unless you pay for fast shipping, I waited 2 1/2 months to get mine. flatcat19
I got mine from that guy in like 3 weeks. Good timing, I guess. Different brand though. The old timers at my shop told me it's exactly the same as the old Nissan kit. Quote Link to comment
wayno
I had one of each, they looked the same to me. I paid for slow/snail shipping, I paid less than $30.00 to my door. Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
Does anyone have the kingpin specs from the factory manual? As far as I can tell, the kingpins were the same as far back as '59, so I don't know why they would have changed them for the last couple of years. If you end up with 521 spindles on your truck, you can use these to run the available 620 drum inner bearing. 6th item down. http://www.bluehandsinc.com/ I'm about 99% sure you can swap the 620 kingpin assembly(spindle/dogbone) onto the 521 with out any issue.
