PrimeLuxeZ
Okay so I cleaned out the afm, and fixed the carbon trail, followin the instructions. Wow what a difference, literally. I hooked up the battery gave the key just 1 turn. And that thing fired right up. That felt so good. I didn't think it was gonna work that well. Quote Link to comment

PrimeLuxeZ
Well I took them down cause I wasn't really getting replies. And I guess i'm keeping it, but I would let it go for the right price, since I'm a broke ass student, with no job. Quote Link to comment
Jomz Shakes
off to a good start, have you done your spare tire area yet? Quote Link to comment
PrimeLuxeZ
No not yet, Im currently trying to remove all the surface rust from the body. And factory sound deadning in the cab. What would be best cut out weld up new piece and weld to car. Or cut a good spare tire miece off of another s130 and weld that to car. Quote Link to comment
Ryoskatekov
^Lol, All S130 must have this rust or something! Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
^Lol, All S130 must have this rust or something! That, and the frame rail under the battery tray... Quote Link to comment
schassisowner
that interior looks like a rabid wolf got loose in it.... nice for what you paid Quote Link to comment
PrimeLuxeZ
^Lol, All S130 must have this rust or something! Lol tell me about it, yours seems to be worse as its advanced up to the rear floor. Mine hasnt really gone thru yet. that interior looks like a rabid wolf got loose in it.... nice for what you paid Lol thats what I said. Yeah it really is. Im not sure if i should do restore or be a man and go all out and custom racekor on it. Quote Link to comment
slowmomiata
even my car has the spare tire rust lol, must be a 280 thing, my buddies 350 swapped 76 has no frame rails at all and still drives straight so youll be good, just wire whell and primer, if it took 30+ years to rust that much it will take more to get worse :) Quote Link to comment
72240z
Ya, who needs frame rails anyway  Quote Link to comment
PrimeLuxeZ
Yeah fame rails are over rated anyways. I would say rust is more like a datsun/nissan thing. z31's are terrible at it also. Quote Link to comment
72240z
Rust is ALL Nissan, that covers datsun too. Even rust free z32's are becoming tough in most areas these days. Quote Link to comment
PrimeLuxeZ
That is true lol, every car does have its weak spot where it rusts, which sucks. Damn rust! Quote Link to comment
72240z
Its their recipe for success lol Quote Link to comment
PrimeLuxeZ
Okay so I want to but either The ignition with keys, or should i just buy the tumbler with the keys. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
FWIW, the "tumbler with keys" is a heck of a lot harder to install... Quote Link to comment
72240z
Ya def, just but a cylinder or if you want matching look out for a used complete lock set. Quote Link to comment
PrimeLuxeZ
Yeah id rather have the whole matching set so I dont have to carry multiple keys for one car. But its been awhile since I saw a matching keyset from ebay. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
You can always pull the tumblers out of the door locks? Then any Nissan key opens them... Quote Link to comment
72240z
Ya the screwdriver never fails lmaoYou have to go in the forums and wait for parts cars. That happens much more often (and cheaper) then a complete set on ebay. Quote Link to comment
Ryoskatekov
You could try what I did... at your own riskI really don't think its essential to the unibody frame structure so I just grinded off the rust and got some aluminium sheet metal, cut it up slam it in the inside of the car, and used silicone corking to fill up the space from in and out. Sprayed it with rubberized coating material and tada, no more wind coming into the car for now easier than welding but all the Z enthusiasts guna be maaaad at me LOL Quote Link to comment
