I'm in the market for a datsun camper if anyone is selling one still. Need something solid and comfortable to live in for a while when I head back to Washington this summer. I'll also consider a vw westfalia style or a Toyota camper if anyone on here has something like that. It would be a cash sale. Prefer datsun but just seeing what was out there. My girlfriend and I are planning an extended road so condition and reliability is a big one for her. I could crash out in the back of a b210 hatch but you know how women are,

Thanks

Evan

Those are both cool but we are looking for something a little more ready to go. It's kinda tricky living in Maui and finding one of these that's even halfways decent back on the connected states then the logistics of getting everything lined up. Not fun :P especially calling on vws and hearing the trillion quirks wrong with their disgustingly overpriced project heap van. I must say they are cool and I've stayed in 2 vans but how on earth is the price of these things as high as it is? I think the datsun and Toyota campers are way cooler (biased) and way cheaper too. Nothing too far gone leaky or overly gross on the inside. Gutted and clean I could maybe work with. Wish there was a datsun Nissan or Toyota van camper out there. I know there isn't especially in my budget if there was. We have 5k total to spend on a van the better buy the more cash we have on hand for when we need it.

Already check that one out. Looks pretty good but a bit far away, I can talk a couple of my friends back in Washington into driving down to Portland or eastern Wa but that's about it. The vw camper van style is the most ideal but if a fiberglass 620 camper pops up I'd be all over it

What about buying a trailer to live in and a small car for  your transport?  Another idea is to buy a used full size pickup with a cap on the back, you sleep in that etc and maintain a membership at a gym or YMCA to shower etc?  I mean just to get you by for a month or so?

Here's a couple near Seattle:

Saw the orange one And the other ones on craigslist. I appreciate the help too. And yeah YMCA/ campgrounds was the idea for shower etc so van doesn't need that stuff. Reliable and ready to rock is a major plus too. I check the craigslist ones everyday too. I think we are going with air-cooled engine from 69-82 with manual transmission and at the least the folding bed contraption. I like the Toyota and datsun campers but the vw ones have pretty good layouts and you cant find anything smaller or more comfortable. If you see or hear of anything and just randomly come across one someplace is kinda what I was looking for. Figured some ratsun owners would be trying to get rid of one lol

This one is on Craigslist here in the Phoenix AZ area.

1980 Datsun Camper (truck) - $2500 (Gilbert)

Great little camper with a straight body, good engine, and transmission.

It could use a little TLC as the interior is original and so is the paint, but it has no rips in the fabric and no dents on the exterior.

It's still a fixer upper as it hasn't been driven in 3 years, but when it ran it ran incredibly well.

We have a clean title so come and get it.

cash only

Well it's all but official. We are soon to be owners of a 1969 Volkswagen hightop camper van. I will have pictures up in an hour or so. Has a 1600 single port engine with external oil cooler deep sump pan and a couple other upgraded cooling features. Engine has less than 20 miles on it since complete tear down and rebuild. We will most likely be back in Washington on April 1st no foolin. Going to need to order some ratsun stickers and place in areas of the van prone to breaking so as I'm gehto rigging the thing back together I can look at some familiar reminders as to what I should be driving lol. Looks like we will be at canby this year!
