Janksun
Looking for random parts and found this in the junkyard! Took the doors an tailgate and I'm going to make some half doors and a tube gate with the Datsun letters on it! Started tearing down the engine today. Looks to be in runnable condition, just gotta get some gaskets and put everything back together. Then I have to figure out the wiring... Good thing I have a new/used harness coming! Janksun
Thanks for looking out. Right now I'm focused on getting the truck running before I go about swapping axles and what not. Have some parts coming from rock auto! Quote Link to comment
secret sponge
You shouldn't have to swap axles if you don't feel the need, the front disk brakes off of a k5 blazer fit nicely on mine, you just need the calipers, caliper mounts, and disks, the caliper mount has a little tab you have to grind off to fit, and I would suggest the blazer MC as well (has to bed adapted to the booster though) if you plan on wheeling it though swapping axles would be smart, the factory axles will snap easily if you get stuck. And as far as gearing goes, you can check it by turning the driveline mount, so many turns to turns of the wheel is the ratio, if it takes 4.88 rotations to get 1 at the wheels, you got 4.88, hope that helps.
