uberkevin
I have one. Its still on my parts truck I would love to keep it but don't have room. I live in pasco washington, I don't think it has any problems with it And cheaper then getting one cut. Its here though and it will stay there a while. Quote Link to comment
wayno
Wayno how did they match the curve? I don't know anything other than the guy has a giant warehouse he looks threw till he finds what he wants, he doesn't even need a old windshield anymore, as he has a sample there, and knows what windshield to cut the 521 windshield out of. Don't ask me what windshield it is made out of, it's his trade secret, and he isn't telling me. I suggested that this member should call around, there are not many shops that will cut curved glass, but it seems like every big town has one shop that will, but it isn't cheap. The guy I know is in LA, and since this guy is near SF, I didn't mention my guy, because he is not close to him. Quote Link to comment
skink
I removed the front windshield and gasket out of my 1972 PL521 because the windshield membrane had hazed and the truck was being repainted.... I took the truck straight from the paint shop to Carsten Auro Glass / 530 N Kansas Expressway / Springfield MO where for $213 they replaced the windshield and provided a new OEM gasket for $76 more. This was just a regular auto glass shop... the windshields are available. SkinknMO Quote Link to comment
DanielC
Have you tried a local wrecking yard? There may not be a 521 with a good windshield right now, but it you are patient, they will come up from time to time. Pick-n-Pull has a search inventory page. Willdatsun
I have new windshields here.. I am in England, but I can ship. They are £199 GBP (Which at time of writing, is about $300 US) Unfortunatley to ship to USA (where most of the 521 owners seem to be would cost about the same again. However shipping perhaps 2 windshields might be more economical as it wouldn't cost much more than sending just one. 1 Quote Link to comment
