It's been covered before. 1979 200SX, 510, and 620 Pickup 1980 720 pickup. 1980 Federal 510 and 200SX works, but only if you use a 78-80 L20B dist base or have a lot of large-cap bases and adjuster plates to mix 'n match to get the timing dialed in. But that doesn't mean you won't find matchbox dists in older stuff. I have matchboxes in my '74, both my '76s, even my '78 which had EI to begin with (the remote igniter died, I had the matchbox on hand). I've found them in many years at junkyards. But more often than not lately that's the 1st thing to go. Link to comment
