datzenmike
Not much of the L20B will fit the L16, you're further ahead rebuilding the L20B and swapping it in. The bore should be measured at 6 places inside. About 1/2" down, 2" and 3" and at 90 degrees to those. This will give a better idea of it the cylinder is tapered or oval shape. The L20B is 86mm bore. 1 Quote Link to comment
fat john
thank you the l 16 in on its last leg l 20 b is it but i have to have the bore bored out it looks like the last guy to drive it had blown the head gaskit an you all know what water will do to the metal but the parts truck was cheep vary cheep Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Pistons fit the bore to close tolerances, so buy the oversize pistons first and give them to whoever does the boring. He should measure them and bore to fit the pistons. Quote Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
Id be leary of that motor. L20 is a 6bolt crank your L16 is 5 bolt so there will be clutch issues for sizeing Quote Link to comment

The U-67 is the best head for the L20B, the A-87 head is the best for the L18. The best head for the L16 is a 210 head. L16 and L18 have 5 bolts holding the flywheel on. The L20B has 6. They will not interchange 1 Quote Link to comment

Rays74
Did you say you have a 6 bolt flywheel to fit the L20B? The one from the smaller engine won't work. Tough to read your replies..... Quote Link to comment
