de_ro
Hey everyone, I'm new to these forums. I purchased a 1971 510 back in November of 2011. I don't have much of a background with cars, this is my first project. It has the original L16 engine, the brakes were pretty much done for so I had a mechanic install a brand new brake system (master cylinder, rotors, drums, calipers, and pads). The alternator ended up dieing on me a few months after I had bought it, so I that was replaced as well. Now I'm at a point in time where I'm not exactly sure what to do next, or who to turn to (like I said, I don't really know much about cars but I can still read a diagram and put things together if it's simple enough). I'll post more pictures soon. Quote Link to comment

hobbes_the_cat
Looks like a pretty solid car. Welcome to Ratsun. I think step one should be removing those goofy autozone grills from the fenders. ;) 1 Quote Link to comment
Boaty
Aye. What Hobbes said. Eliminate those vents. Quote Link to comment
darc510
I concur, take those vents off. Also, does your turn signals work on those mirrors? i'd say you got a really nice dime on your hands... more oics!!! Quote Link to comment
Shagy
did this one come from long beach? Quote Link to comment
yellowdatsun
More pics would help us with your future plans. But the vents would be first on my list to delete. Get a back bumper. The tail panels are a huge pain to fix/replace, and finding a nice replacement will not be easy. Metal polish will help put a shine back into the front bumper. Quote Link to comment
