610/180b weights

Recommended Posts

They say the 610 is heavier than the 510....

Has anyone weighed their 610? I am curious to see what mine turns out to be.

If you have, post up and give a few specs so we can compare apples to apples.

My last 510/SR20DET 2-door weighed in at 2150lb.

I weighted my 610 today (on my way back from Canby).

2450 lb according to the truck scale.

half tank of gas.

File that away for the record.

by the way its this car:

BY the way, after swapping out the L20b and putting in the KA24DE, the front end sat a little higher and I had to adjust it down.

Interesting. I recall the "Inertia Weight" sticker on my sedan saying 2500lbs.

You say 2450lbs. Nice.

I moved the battery to the trunk, and added an anti-swaybar, thats about all that changed during the swap.

100lbs difference sounds like a lot....but maybe if you include the transmissions.

Did I mention I stripped the KA down? no more A/C, power steering, emissions, cast-iron power steering pump brackets, etc.

Anyway, 150Hp at the wheels and 2450 lb isnt too bad. I think I will work on squeezing a little more from the engine , maybe 170hp at the wheels?..hmmm.....
