bryant2482 Posted March 22, 2012 Report Share Posted March 22, 2012 hey guys ive had a problem with my cab light staying on in my 720. it only has a driver side switch. i checked the switch and it needed replacing. i installed a new swtich today and the light still comes on. any ideas what could be going on? poor-mans-720 Posted March 22, 2012 Report Share Posted March 22, 2012 Something might be grounding out. Check that the little doo-dad is not touching anything it shouldn't. And that the wire isn't grounding out. Should post some pics of the switch. may help the process. Quote Link to comment
DanielC Posted March 22, 2012 Report Share Posted March 22, 2012 Typically the cab light has power always supplied to it, and any switches switch the ground. so, if the wire going from the cab light to the door switch gets a short, the light comes on, and stays on. Quote Link to comment

I believe the 720 has a switch for the pass side so maybe it or at least the wiring for it is in there and is contacting the body. Quote Link to comment
elmerfudpucker Posted March 22, 2012 Report Share Posted March 22, 2012 there are 3 points the light gets its ground, the doors and there is also a switch itself on the light, mine was fubared in the light, the lil bit of plastic holds the contacts apart was out of place and kept it on.
