Z-train
I bought mine on ebay, its the only one I've ever seen. It came with a new weber 38/38 and the cannon intake for about $350. Yes its is separate from the exhaust manifold. Does the carb have progressive linkage? Quote Link to comment
hobbes_the_cat
I think all weber 38/38s are synchronous not progressive there might be a conversion kit out there but i doubt it. Get a 32/36 if you want progressive linkage. Quote Link to comment
ZackTheImpaler
38/38 is a non progressive. That manifold looks way sexy for it, I might have to keep an eye out for one! Quote Link to comment
OldSkool
I think I might just stick with the L20b. Keeps things simple and fun. It's a daily and I had a semi built l20b in my old wagon and that thing used to to pull nice to 6800 all day. Quote Link to comment

Yeah.....there is a sync kit you can buy for the progressive 32/36 though, around 35 bucks Also....I'm assuming all you guys that built a LZ23 checked the clearance between the rod and piston? The stock Z22 con rod is wider than the Z24...a little too tight...could have some issues down the 'road'(?)....all relative to style/make of pistons used. My clearance dropped to .012" (total)......from the stock 2.5 mms Pistons were pulled....rods shaved Quote Link to comment

I wasn't recomending he use a progressive carb, I was just saying the 38/38 was not a progressive carb, but the 32/36 is. Quote Link to comment
