Draynor
Is the 510 2 door sedan gas tank the same as a wagon gas tank? Will a 2 door tank bolt up to a wagon? Thanks Derek Quote Link to comment

datsunaholic
No. 510 sedan gas tanks are behind the seat. Wagon gas tanks are under the cargo floor. Quote Link to comment

datsunaholic
The 2dr sedan gas tanks are mounted under the trunk arent they? Well, heck, I don't know. Never had a PL510 sedan of any kind. Now that I think about it the gas door isn't in the pillar vent, is it? I though the filler was behind the pillar vent because the tank was behind the seat, but maybe I'm mistaken. I know in the Coupe it's under the floor, but it's still not the same as a Wagon tank because the Wagon tank has the spare tire UNDER part of the tank, whereas the Sedans and Coupes all have the spare tire in the trunk. hobbes_the_cat
2door and 4door sedans are the same. Wagons are different. Coupes... I have never seen one in person. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The sedan tank is inside the car directly above the differential, just behind the rear seat back, below the rear window and to the very front of the trunk. Goons are outside the car more to the rear under the back cargo area as Doug said, just to the rear of the differential and slightly to the right to leave room for the muffler on the left side.
