ggzilla
Jeff came over two weeks ago and we talked trucks. I can't get over how small his truck is. First one I've ever seen. But he actually uses his to haul stuff... Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
none ever came with a rear bumper, not even the last 2007 model Jeff's 1200 has the factory bumperettes on the corners. Quote Link to comment
DRIVEN
Dave, were the rails and hooks removed from your bed or is it stock? I'd love a brief rundown on the differences between the 2. I know very little about these things and would love a lesson. I'm sure I'm not the only one either. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
were the rails and hooks removed from your bed or is it stock? Good question. I bought mine down in LA, and it had already been to the plastic surgeon. Dr. Dehookian was his name. The difference between the two is mainly this: * Shortbed vs longbed. Jeff's is the regular 4-hook version. Mine is a 5-hooker (but now de-hooked) which in Japan was marketed as the "Long Body". It is actually longer wheelbase to place the rear wheels centrally over the payload. Long Body During the 1970s they were sold in Japan as Datsun Sunny 1200. They weren't badged Nissan until the 90s. Both have a 500kg (1000 lb) payload. They are unibody, unlike an El Camino, but use high-strength steel side members and crossmembers to make it a very strong carrier. Quote Link to comment
