were the rails and hooks removed from your bed or is it stock?

Good question. I bought mine down in LA, and it had already been to the plastic surgeon. Dr. Dehookian was his name.

The difference between the two is mainly this:

* Shortbed vs longbed. Jeff's is the regular 4-hook version. Mine is a 5-hooker (but now de-hooked) which in Japan was marketed as the "Long Body". It is actually longer wheelbase to place the rear wheels centrally over the payload.

During the 1970s they were sold in Japan as Datsun Sunny 1200. They weren't badged Nissan until the 90s.

Both have a 500kg (1000 lb) payload. They are unibody, unlike an El Camino, but use high-strength steel side members and crossmembers to make it a very strong carrier.
