bilzbobaggins
Hello. Think my 32/36 that came on my 620 has a bad needle seat. Getting too much fuel I do belive. Ive been looking for one on the typical places, and cant find one that looks like this one. This is the best pic I could get. Mine has a red rubber end which I see ones like this, but mine has a ball on the end where the float tab hits. This ball moves in and out with what feels like spring resistance. I cant find any pics or prices on redlineweber, and flea bay is a crap shoot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Jeff And what size is it? 1.75?? Quote Link to comment
bilzbobaggins
Only markings on the part that I have is 250 on the seat part that is attached to the carb top. I see some that are 1.75 and 2.0. They both say they are for the dgev. What am I measuring to find out? Thanks Jeff Quote Link to comment
jefe de jefes
What are you trying to do? Replace that part? Quote Link to comment
bilzbobaggins
Yeah, I want to order another one and get it right the first time. Just want to make sure I order the correct part. Thanks Jeff Quote Link to comment
jefe de jefes
I may have a few. The one pictured says 200 I believe. Quote Link to comment
bilzbobaggins
Hmmm. So the size does not matter as long as the seat and needle are a matched set??? The rubber end on mine has cracking on one side. Not sure how old this carb is but I would guess at least 7 years old. Jeff Quote Link to comment

As of right now I've found 2 matching sets, both 200. Where's the red rubber you talk about? Quote Link to comment
bilzbobaggins
Just the point that seats at the top on the needle. Your pic has a black one. Also, I see a standard and a Viton Performance needle & seat listed on the redlineweber site. Any clues as to the difference? And I see in your pic the roller ball on the other end of the needle and on a couple of ebay listings. Whats up with that? Thanks Again Jeff Quote Link to comment
jefe de jefes
Oh, ok. Yeah , the one pictured is like a black rubber material. The other one I have looks to be the same material as the needle shaft and seat. Brass? Quote Link to comment
bilzbobaggins
Yeah, I saw some that had a all brass needle. If you dont mind looking, do those style needles have a rubber ring in the top part? About to post some video of my truck running begrudgingly. Needle is good now, float was off, way off. Thanks Jeff Quote Link to comment
jefe de jefes
No rubber ring in the ones I have. Quote Link to comment

This is with a ei dizzy and the original weber carb. This is the result. And valve adjustments. Will post more details after dinner. Jeff Back from dinner. Truck will run and start. Carb had a electric idle cut on it, if thats what its called. Truck will run the same whether its powered or not. Ive maxed the timing adjustment out on the dizzy. Its backfiring as well. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks JEff Quote Link to comment
bilzbobaggins
So I did more searching last night and came aross a post from last year. Is my IC solenoid supposed to have a Jet on the end like this pic I borrowed? If so, mine never got to me. Could this explain the video above with all the backfireing? Would make it run like shit like mine is. Thanks Jeff Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
Is my IC solenoid supposed to have a Jet on the end like this pic I borrowed? YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The IC selionoid jets and the standard DGVs are different physical sizes. Why I dont know. this would mostly affect the idle. Abobve idle your on the main jet . Quote Link to comment
hobbes_the_cat
My solenoid went bad on my weber and it affected my part and full throttle a ton as well as at idle. if that is bad and gets fixed you will notice a big difference. Quote Link to comment
bilzbobaggins
Ok. Its confirmed. Just remember, this is the first one ive been in and it was gone before I started. thanks Jeff Quote Link to comment
