JAS
Dumb question i guess, unless your in this situation. Doing an automatic to manual transmission conversion and its all done except the clutch hydraulic system. Question is, does the hyraulic line go over or under the master cylinder on its way down to the slave cylinder? Tried looking at "under the hood" pictures of other B210's, was not detailed enough to see this. It makes sence to go under, but it looks like its set up to go over. I have done this swap on multiple datsuns, this is the first B210 I have done.... it is a 1974 B210 hatchback. Thanks, Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Most go up and over but whatever is easiest I guess. It will work no matter which way you run it. Quote Link to comment
Dguy210
Out and down is stock. I've done this swap if you need it, I'll see if I can post a picture later today. Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
Yup, goes under the master and down, but really it can go anyway you want it to. Quote Link to comment
Z-train
Yup, goes under the master and down, but really it can go anyway you want it to. True, but out & down will make bleeding easier. Quote Link to comment
JAS
Thanks guys, I could not figure why anyone would run it over, but..... had to ask. I have done this swap in 280Z's and 620's.... this is a little harder because of the driveline and trans mount. Other than that, i detonated my pistons anyway and had to change out the bottom end at the same time as this swap. Damn vacuum modulator hose came split and went lean and blew the tops off two pistons. Running an H89 head shaved and 93 octane. Dont get a major vacuum leak during rapid excelleration with a 10.4 compression ratio.... Quote Link to comment

Z-train
My previous post not withstanding, the factory routing on my 78KC is OVER & behind. Quote Link to comment
JAS
That is what is confusing on this.... The line itself is bent for an over, but gentle persuasion and a tubing bender will put it under both master cylinders.... This weekend i have to swap around the driveline yokes and replace the u-joints. Nice to have a machine shop at work when everyone else is gone..... Quote Link to comment
