idler arm bearing conversion

I have my steering linkage off the car right now and I just realized how hard it is to rotate the idler arm by hand. That has to put some pressure on the steering feedback. Has anyone ever tried to fit roller bearings in there to get a softer steering feedback? As well as a tighter linkage.

Hmmm looks like there isn't one on the 510. There is a metal post threaded on the one end that slides into a metal bushing with a rubber bushing over it and then the outer housing. I suppose if you have it off, unbolt it and grease the inner metal post and the metal bushing around it. Don't grease the rubber or it will swell and rot away.

The 620 has a grease fitting on the idler arm.

not to jack the thread, but isn't it grease zert, and zerk a measurement from a common place to check the squareness of your front end? When I was doing mobile truck alignments, zerk was a measurement from the front spring pin to the U bolts, and we bought grease zerts when we changed the spring pins.
