ggzilla
Last week I put 1000 km on the old 1200. After the car show, I went out to the coast. Here is the road from Portland over the mountains to the ocean (Sunset Highway). Miles of forest ... Going over the mountain pass, foot to the floor for several minutes, the Header cracked: At Seaside, decided to fill up North up the coastline to the mighty Columbia River 4-mile-long bridge Climbing up to the top. I didn't floor it like in the old days... Johnny Five is somewhere around here... New cars and TVs heading up the river... ggzilla
I didn't see any 411s. I did see some 720 Nissans, but didn't get any pics of them. I went by Del Rey Beach sign and thought about it some, next time i will check it out. Is the shipwreck still visible there at Fort Stevens? Quote Link to comment

A couple stumps, and some of the front hull. Its rusty, crusty and not much left. Not like when I was younger. Scary part is parents let their kids play on that tetanus pile ;) Quote Link to comment

Big Schlink
There have been a ton of movies filmed in Astoria. They actually turned the old jail that is part of the opening scene in Goonies into The Oregon Movie Museum. I like this pic Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
Did you go through Pee el or north to Aberville to get back? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
I went up 101, considered Pe El to Chehalis, instead went towards Aberdeen but took the Montesano cutoff so I wouldn't actually have to go to the Gray Harbor. Oregon Movie Museum? I'll have to check that out. I'll never forget when we had to move our weekly basketball game from the old school because they were filming Kindergarten Cop.
