VintageRice
Does anyone know how much RPM's the Matchbox dizzys are good for? Is there a limit before they can't perform? I'm not talking crazy RPM's I'm just curious. Are they only limited by the engine they are bolted to? Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment
Dime Dave
I use a match box dizzy on my A15 road race engine, I pull it to 8000 regularly with no issues. I have used them on L series engines as well, same RPM range with no issues. They are pretty much bulletproof. Quote Link to comment

datsunaholic
Considering: 1) The matchbox itself is essentially the same in the 6-cyl, (which fires 50% more than a 4-cyl for any given RPM) 2) The L28E redline is over 7000 RPM 50% over 7000 gives you 10500 for a 4-cyl. Yeah, I don't think the matchbox is gonna be a limiting factor. The dist drive weights, maybe. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Matchbox. The only limiting factor.... is you! Quote Link to comment
