atkinson40
Overnight the float bowl on my Hitachi Carb is emptying out. I need to crank it a few extra seconds to fill it up before it starts. Any ideas? -K Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
The Hitachi on my boat does the same thing but takes several days. Curious to see whats said re; the issue. My guess is a bad float ? Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
if float get full of gas it would sink and thus flood out when running. If needle valve is stuck closed it would run out of gas. I dont know why it would go empty when just sitting there. Like to know the fix myself. is there a return line????????could it drain from the return line???? Quote Link to comment

boxboy
I'm with Datzenmike. My Nikki was doing the same thing. Regasketed the front bowl glass and I have no issues now. Quote Link to comment
atkinson40
Loose, bad seal front cover/sight glass? Maybe, But the seal is new and I don't see any wetness. What about the little inserts with holes in them in the back/bottom of the bowl? What keeps gas from going down them? -K Quote Link to comment
