cornfedlifer
I have a intake manifold for dual carbs weber/dellorto side draft that fits truck version of l20...It is tooo tall for my 510. I need the car version so my hood will shut. Anyone have a shorter intake (Dual Carbs)interested in trading? Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
I like to see a photo of this and Why it would hit the hood? Never heard of sidedrafts hitting the hood Link to comment
SHADY280
i dont have anything for you, but if itll fit the l20/l18 type stuff id like the intake. Link to comment
]2eDeYe
I have an intake from a 510. Still not sure if it will fit the 620 with the brake booster. Do you have any pic's of the intake? I can't think of why it would cause a hood interference? Link to comment
cornfedlifer
Sorry for the delay..... As you can see the intake rises which will not fit the 510 Link to comment
datsunfish
I cant see how that would hit the hood.Have you actualy tried to test fit it?I have that same mani with mikuni's (not on a car) and I could probably measure it up.I think it should be fine. Link to comment
Phlebmaster
They sure look nice!! Where did you get those? It is obvious now why they won't fit. Link to comment
ssfwgn
I've seen either the same or a similar minifold in a 510. It didn't look like it had any clearance issues. I think it was a l20b too. Link to comment
datsunfish
Just trying to help here not trying to be a know it all.The dgv with 3" air filter sits higher than the lifted mani with sides.I believe my 510 has more hood clearance than the trucks. Link to comment
cornfedlifer
Maybe I'm Mistaken...I will do some more measuring...I'm still interested in swapping for a shorter intake. Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
Damn that is HIGH. But Im thinking a weber DGV and a adapter and aircleaner will still be higher do you think the carbs will be higher than this set up? as this the carb is higher than the aircleaner, But this is a l16 a L20 will be about 3/4 to 1ich higher in a 510 using 510 motor mounts(that bolt to the engine) Maybe can see a brake master in the way with the airhorns test fit it I heard the higher intake worked better. more effiecent Link to comment
]2eDeYe
There's a pic of my carbs and intake. I haven't tried fitting them yet. I can take a pic at a different angle if it will help. Link to comment
ssfwgn
2eDeYe;44638'] There's a pic of my carbs and intake. I haven't tried fitting them yet. I can take a pic at a different angle if it will help. Thats the nissan comp manifold I have the same one on my wagon. That thing is really long, I had clearance with the master cylinder. With mikunis and short air horns the minifold car setup mesured 11 1/2". On my brothers 620 from the cylinder head to the booster it measured a bit under 11 1/2". I don't know if that will help.:) Link to comment
