datzenmike
Shouldn't be ring blow by, the motor has less than 10,000 miles on it. I think the reversal of the pcv breather is one of the culprits. The reason for the filter on the end is just in case it manages to reverse flow when the engine stops, or during decel, you don't suck dirty air into the crankcase. Matt the stock set up runs a hose into the air filter housing between the carb and the filter element. It gets filtered air when the pcv is drawing air in and if too much blow by, it gets sucked into the carb so the filter stays clean. Quote Link to comment
HRH
I think that's what I was trying to say, but anyway, I have heater core issues on my mind now, Mike. I've replaced heater cores before, why does the D21 have to be such a pain in the ass?! Quote Link to comment
68Datsun510
The D21 seems to be a PITA for anything...the end of simple nissans... Quote Link to comment
HRH
Haha! Yeah, I still love the truck, but some things make me wonder. Quote Link to comment
