Mr.Dean_Yates Posted September 16, 2011 Report Share Posted September 16, 2011 I have an l20b and a l24, and I compared the oil drive shaft and oil pump and they are both the same. So either one will work. The distributor other than one using a 6 prong cap and the other one a 4 prong cap is the same thing, except I run a petronix unit in my distributor. As for the intake manifold it is the simplest thing in the world. I had a KA intake flange and two SU flanges cut out of mild steel, then I took some steel piping cut the right angles. Welded it all together, took and old l24 throttle linkage shortened it and walla, oh and I stuck a balancing tube between them hehe. Ok, Im going back to the garage now to get this puppy fully running, I will take pictures of Distributor brackets, and throttle linkage :) these pictures basically say...hey look at me guys, im amakin my own intake manifold, ef the rest, im a beast. kudos on the build dude, i love it, get theat leak fixed and start raping the streets! VintageRice Posted September 17, 2011 Report Share Posted September 17, 2011 I had the flanges made at a local machine shop that builds all sorts of crazy things. But alas the bad news, the engine has a blow head gasked :)... Oh well another days of work for me :). Another quick question I have is about my head, I'm not sure how I missed this at first, but does anyone know if this is the FWD Stanza head? Cause I know the s13 heads don't have the dizzy mount back there like this one in the pics below. Found it. :rolleyes: Say, can you get another one of these flanges made and ship it to me???? This is not meant to be a commercial for MSD or anything hehe, but because I cheaped out on a coil, I got stranded on the side of a highway, and almost burned down all my wiring cause my coil decided to fuse it self and become a huge ground lol.
