H20doctor
My engine is all together and bolted in.. I am running a webber 32/36 on a L20 intake.. No Pvc valve and side intake stuff thats normal on these engines with a Hitachi... Where do i run the engine breather crank tube. ? And How do i run a PVC valve on it ? and what should it look Like when done .. Pics Please ... my engine has a shorty exhaust header on it from Top end performance... http://www.racetep.com/nissan.html Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
L16s usually have a hole and tube that exits straight out the side of the plock, L20Bs exit upward. But in all cases the pipe directs crankcase vapors into the rubber tube that connects to a PCV valve mounted on the intske. L16... L20B... It should connect to the black fitting under the base of the carb. . Quote Link to comment
tlap
Here are some older pictures of what has been working for me. I started out with the L20 tube and an L16 tube. Cut each of them and welded the two pieces together, then used the L16 hose up to the PCV. Quote Link to comment
H20doctor
well as you can see my intake manifold had been welded up.. and all the egr stuff removed this tube here connects to my Break Booster .... and here is the line from my break booster, on my finger ... And here is my Breather tube .. So i ran my first engine with nothing on the crank tube for 40,000 Miles... it just vented downward on the exhaust maniold.. What should I put on the breather tube ? and what set up will work ..because i dont want it just venting like it was Quote Link to comment
Sealik
I used a couple of stock 720 breather tubes and routed it back under.... to the only other extra hole in the IM I eventually put a 90 degree elbow in the IM so the PCV valve wasn't sitting upright. Quote Link to comment
H20doctor
Any one else have a set up idea.. ? Or should I just leave the tube wide open like before.. ? I dont want to run it into my intake ,as I would guess that would suck oil into my valves and the tops of my pistons Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
THIS IS WHAT I DID WITH MINE. DRILLED/TAPPED A HOLE IN MY BLOCK OFF PLATE AND SCREWED IN A PCV VALVE. STUCK 2 HOSES TOGETHER. Quote Link to comment

There are baffles in the block vent to remove oil spray droplets and only vapors from combustion and moisture are sucked in. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
I did mien like TLAP on my L18 which uses a L20 style crankcase tube. I used my L16 rubber hose to the carb since I used a L16 intake(matchported) cleaner simpler Quote Link to comment

Its from a '75-'77 L20B with the manifolds bolted together. The area with the heat riser valve has to be plugged like this if running a header. Nice. Quote Link to comment
