5TENZO

Guna start working on my car so i decided on also starting a post.

Bought it a little while ago in fresno.
My first car
Car:
1971 510 4dr (AKA 5TENZO)
L20
280zx 5 speed
510 front coilover conversion

Daily drove it for a while now, the clutch is almost all gone so guna start the mods and for the swap.

Main Plans for it:
KA24de
slam it
bolt on fender flares
wide wheels for bosozoku


When i first got it. (with out mesh rims)

How it sits now:
front is maxd out drop on coils
rear has aftermarket shocks with ebay honda sleeve coilovers...(would not recommend)

Why is it so high in the back?? ....... ... you should be tucking those rear wheels ....... ... :lol:

 

 

 

So are you guys blind or just dumb cus its obviously that that high any more.

 

It was the old suspension, thats how i bought it, It was waaaaaaayyy to high.

 

Its all about boso!

Datsun 510

Small update.

 

Been working on shortenning 280zx stuts and hopefully order my springs tomorow. Today i finally cut off the ugly rear fender lip, and did a test fit with 15x8 rims.

 

BEFORE 15x7 0 offset

AFTER 15x8 -19 195/50

Wasnt able to go lower cus the fatass ballon tyre was in the way, guna try to get 165/50 or 165/45 with a 1" spacer...

and again the baloon tire didnt let me have my camber...forgot to put my spacer back in...

took a picture of the unfinished flares and finally got the 280zx struts done.

KYB vw rabbit inserts

shortened struts around 2in (just a guess of thought)

techno toy tuning coilover conversion

300lbs springs

S13 50mm extended wheel sutds

New rotors pads and brake hoses

stock 510 top hat(still waiting to get Tein camber plates)

That looks awesome!!!!! ....... :thumbup: ......... . those perches are welded on so low you should be able to drag the front crossmember,, , if your shocks allow it

 

 

..... I use the front frame rail as a jacking point,,, it just dents the valence a little

that header is toast tho.. the first time you hit real hard youll never get it to stop leakin...

 

I know! went to take it for a test drive to feel the new springs and the exhaust was scraping the ground the whole time! so i had to put it back in

 

the header on my truck actually busted the primary tube from the flange on the engine..

Havent posted in a while been busy and lazy, mostly lazy.

 

 

But started on the swap and hopefully have the engine in by this week

Took it to a bodyshop to get an estimate for the body work and paint, and the body work alone was 1200, so i decided to try it myself....

Almost done with ka swap, just been busy with school/work/photography. Only thing i need left is relocate battery, bleed brakes, transmission crossmember, and wiring. hopefully be done with all of that this week, besides the wiring tho
