GOLSETH
Called Vatozone, they cant get me shit. no 620's in a junkyard around where i live Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
radiator.com rockauto.com napa orileys 620 rads a plentiful and cheap. Most are not made in Japan but avail. Link to comment
motavated
Called vato zone and say 1975 620. And modify your rad support so it fits... You have the smaller rad. Autozone don't carry the older smaller model. Modifying the support is rather minimal for the bigger rad. Your old fan shrow wont work. Link to comment
datsunaholic
Also, if you use a 75+ radiator you need a new upper hose. It's shorter since it connects on the opposite side as the 72-74 one. Link to comment
Dawa
before i make a new thread, ima try here. does anyone know if a 510 rad fits the 620? Link to comment
Dawa
turns out my fsm has the sizes for both 510 & 620 rads Height width thickness 510 11in 19.2" 1.50" 620 13in 17.6" 1.26" darn it Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
510/521 Rads DO NOT fit the 620. They might bolt up the same but the lower inlets are different. At least a 620 rad going in a 510. I dont know if using a 510 rad in a 620 with a 510 hose might work. Datsun LLC has those chinese alum ones now. be honest I swear the 620 rads were still common to get try Rockauto.com Link to comment
datsunaholic
620 radiators aren't "common" but they're still easier to get than 510/521 radiators. But there's no real aftermarket 620 radiator. Rockauto has them- for $270-$300. Do NOT order the $197 one- that's a 720 radiator that's mislisted as a '79 radiator. Link to comment
Dawa
i want an aftermarket aluminum rad but like yall said, theyre all made in china. so i was excited to see that koyo makes a rad for the 510, and after researching learned that they arent the same. im just gonna end up fitting a quality japanese or american rad from a different vehicle into mine. i know about vws, scirrocoa (sp?) and a few others but ima tey something different. ill let yall know how it goes Link to comment
Tristin
Theres a 620 in a local yard that still has its radiator. You pay for the radiator, my time, and shipping and I can get it down to you. Thats if you need one that bad. Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
The Chinese might be the only option. Link to comment
71kat510
ive seen a civic rad modded to work pretty available and fairly cheap Link to comment
Tristin
Ive seen Civic radiators used in many different applications. I use it as a basic DIY universale radiator. You can get a Civic half radiator in a 3in core for fairly cheap. I ran one in my last Evo pushing 450+ hp with no overheating. Only issue is hoses... I ran Russell ProClassic line so it wasnt an issues, but that was a high dollar option that most dont want to do. Link to comment
BenJammin
...or just have your old one re-cored, the tanks are usually good. Link to comment
71kat510
ill ship you one out of my truck if interested pm me Link to comment

No problem. Like I said, its a bit of an expensive route, but it gives you way more options for radiator mounting. You can pick up a quality 2in Civic half radiator that out performs most 3in cores. Ive had one in every DSM (read: all 7) and they have been fantastic. Heres a decent-ish picture of it installed in the Evo. You can make out the black ProClassic: Note: The biggest reason I liked the half radiator is because it minimizes the amount of heat soak from the exhaust manifold since it was front facing... though thats not really an issue with any of the Datsun engines.
