I lost mine with the SU's and it made the car hard to start when I had let it sit for a while. Might as well clean it up. Maybe ceramic coat it or high heat temp paint it..... 2nd....none of my DGV's ever had one.. never had an issue. Quote Link to comment

HRH Posted March 5, 2011 Report Share Posted March 5, 2011 The carb shouldn't overflow, but the main purpose of that is to insulate the carburetor from intake heat. It's a good thing to have for carbureted applications. Quote Link to comment
