bananahamuck
Friend stopped by to put his 1994 ( i think ) nissan altima he bought at auction on my scope to see why it was running REAL bad and not wanting to hook up machine without checking easy stuff. ( kiss ) I pulled plugs to have a look, and the number one wire end had lots of water on it and the second had quite a bit of sweatiness going on, the back two no dampness at all..Heres the question can water get in the spark plug holes because of a gasket leak?? I marked it up to a goofball detailer going nuts with pressure washer but would like a answer..not exactly sure of engine i assume it was Ka24de( because just dried wires and it ran fine ) but it looked like.... only WAY more beat I just noticed i wasn`t in other Nissan / Datsuns oops Quote Link to comment
HRH
Is that Tumwater WA? Sure, condensation can happen anywhere, but certainly in cold and wet areas even more so. Could be an oil leak spooging water into the spark plug holes. Ask him if he does a lot of short trips in winter, without getting the car warmed up. If he does, chances are he'll have froth in his oil too, due to moisture content. The solution is to drive for 30 minutes or more and burn the water out. Also change the oil more frequently. Just a guess off the top of my head. Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
Washington yes ,Tumwater old indian word for " rains like cow pissing on flat rock ".. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Water can't get there from the engine unless a rad hose blew and drenched the motor. If it was pressure washed that was the cause. Quote Link to comment

But better to know than rely on a guess..thanks Quote Link to comment
sanitys
if its just in the holes where the spark plugs plug in, then yes, just pressure washing Quote Link to comment
Unclejesse88
Most likely from pressure washing like others have said. Also, check the plug wires, they have most likely shrunk/hardened a bit and don't properly seal to the valve cover. Quote Link to comment
