selling/shipping a car across the country

Whats the best way to handle selling a car across the country so everybody is happy and nobody gets ripped off.

Its easier to sell a car to a canadian than for a canadian to sell a car to a american. Its messed up.

Drive it over, fly back, or vice versa. If the car won't make it, then contact a local car hauler company who does long haul.

 

Ask a towing company or auto auction, they'll know someone.

I am more concerned with getting the cash from the buyer is there a "safe" way to do it. I will be shipping it by truck the buyer is setting it up as well as paying for it.

Yeah get the cash then hand over the car. I wouldnt mess with no COD type shit, dont trust anyone till you have cash in hand.

I want to trust everybody but I know better ;) I was hoping there was a way to do it thru a bank or something.

I shipped one from NM to MA. I used Uship. I had already bought the car and posted it at Uship and had a guy offer to deliver it. I got to read his feedback at the site and see he was legit. It cost about $1100-1200 when all was said and done.

 

But you totally want to get the cash up front for the car!!

Yes,you definitely want the money up front. That's when Paypal comes in handy. I've bought cars from AR and AL. It's not cheap,so get a good shipper.

If you use paypal make sure you have them send it to you as a gift so you have no fees and they cannot reverse the charges.
