Wide14u
Do 620's suffer from suicide sag when you suicide the doors, who has done suicide doors on there 620? Any problems I will run into? Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
I haven't done suicide... The 620 doors are light. The only reason they sag on a stock truck that I know, is the pins and bushings. It's all in the hinge IMHO. Quote Link to comment
Jersey
Haven't had suicide doors on a 620 yet, but, my Toyota utilized the stock hinges and the jamb was completely cut out and rebuilt and I never had any issues with door sag. Suicide doors are probably one of the most difficult mods to pull off...but, if you get it right it's definitely one of the coolest mods! Quote Link to comment
Jersey
The jury is still out on whether or not I'm going to do this mod on my KingCab...it was cool on my Toyota and out of all the mods on the truck this was the one that people seemed to be the most interested in. kaoss
Been thinking about this, and the doors are so light I couldn't imageine that it would be an issue. Quote Link to comment
vegas_datsun
Door light? Mine must be different from everyone else. They weight about 55lbs or so Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Light in comparison to say a 55 Chevy door or almost any other door for that matter ;) Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
they sag but not very badDid you use stock good condition hinges, or some kind of aftermarket hinge? I wouldn't think the cab/B-pillar would flex ... but? Quote Link to comment
1lo620
I have a friend that has them on a 620, and he used stock hinges, did some reinforcment on the door piller where he put the new hinge location. He did it 5 plus years ago and seem to be fine. good luck!!! Quote Link to comment

banginboots
Did you use stock good condition hinges, or some kind of aftermarket hinge? I wouldn't think the cab/B-pillar would flex ... but? sag prob aint so bad on an uncut truck Quote Link to comment
banginboots
pain in the ass for gettin in n out though Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
so it doesn't hang well, makes it harder to get in and out ... so why did somebody do that to their truck? For all that work they could have done flip-up doors. Quote Link to comment
Jersey
Suicide doors if engineered right shouldn't sag. To succeed in doing this mod, you have to be aware of many factors, e.g.: hinge placement, B pillar reinforcement, door weight (goes both to: hinge placement and B pillar reinforcement) and, a few other things...your doors should function just as well as the stock configuration, If done right. And you know it's a job well done if it has the appearance, that it might have been a factory option! P.S. As far as getting into and out of the vehicle, personally, I found it easier to get out of and a little awkward (at first) getting into! 1 Quote Link to comment
