DauTsun
Hey guys, just wondering what kind of economy you are getting? I found out mine was about thirty seven MPG on the highway, going around 2000 rpms. I have rebuilt my head, all new seals , and an EMPI Carburator. Is that good? or Bad? Quote Link to comment

herculesinwyoming
mine burns half a gallon in 20 minutes just idling, but i need to adjust the float, and full tune up, the points are 20 years old lol, budget was tight this last year, but the build is about to take off, Quote Link to comment
deadmonkey
I'm getting an average (fill tank, calculate and repeat a few times) of about 25ish on my tired old '76 L20B. 5speed tranny. Keep in mind its smoking and smelling of gas too. Doesn't smell as bad since I leaned out the mixture screw a little bit. My rebuild on the other L20 is waiting on the head...after that I'm hoping it will drastically improve. I also plan to take a stab at an HHO setup to see if its hipppy crap science or real. But that's another project once I get this truck running stable w/ the new engine :) Quote Link to comment

You are going about 18.25% further than indicated. Or 24.78 on the highway Quote Link to comment
