jerryb
does anyone know where or who still may carry the stock filter element for the glass fuel filter? Quote Link to comment
jefe de jefes
Get yourself a filter from a 521 for the mean time. Toss that sucker in along with some hose clamps if that what's keeping you from driving your rig. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Can't really argue with a coolness factor. Quote Link to comment
jay520
Here is what charlie69 told me. I searched for the part numbers and Nissan says they still have them. I have just a brass screen in mine and an inline filter also. Like you I think they look pretty cool. Here are the Datsun part #s for the glass bowl filter. Filter element and gaskets were still available about 6 months ago from Nissan. 16400-28000 Assy-Strainer Fuel (Complete) 16404-68225 Element Filter fuel 16406-50000 Gasket-filter fuel 16407-87260 Gasket-filter fuel Quote Link to comment
zed1
I just returned from Tractor Supply and purchased a new Screen & Gasket Kit #027063. I happen to see a fuel bowl with gasket #027178 that is a near duplicate for OEM. My link Quote Link to comment
DanielC
All the body fasteners on a 521 are standard American thread. I would assume the fasteners on a 520 are also. Is it the type of filter that has a sediment bowl held on with a thumbscrew? One you can just take apart, clean out, and put together? It is a fairly common item on tractors. Quote Link to comment

boxboy
I just found this on Fleabay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Fuel-Filter-pump-Gas-Carburetor-NEW-Classic-/290528953731?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43a4e00583 It is for the aluminum housed one, but I would think it is the same as the glass.
