So there are a few machinist on this site. I figured i would share some pics of some parts i have run on 2 different machines.

 

 

this part weighs 122,000 pounds. This is the biggest i have run.

 

 

 

 

 

 

THese pics are of parts on the new machine i run. It has 50 feet of travel in X (left to right) 20 feet in Y (up and down) and 6 feet in Z (in and out)

Nice Union horizontal, do you get to sit inside there and ride it back and forth? Cat 40 or 50? Don't you just enjoy it when you get "home projects" that turn into a bigger pain in the ass than a real part? :P

Yes i get to sit inside of it and ride back and forth. The cabin also goes up and down. ITs a cat 50. And yes to the last one :)
