L20B Turboed?

Will be lifting out my L20B & 4 speed. outta the 1980 Donor (finally) Tom (thurs) Night. Father in law at the ready. Anyway for those of you who don't know me on Get Garage, My plans are to rebuild the entire thing, and once finished replace the L18 and 3 speed auto in my Formally Red, now gray 1974 620. But What can I do to this soon to be brand new motor in ways of a turbo?? I know, you with the KAs and CA, etc But Carb and stock "looking" is what I want outta this truck. Is this possible??

I heard if you put an intercooler and a carburetor'd turbo there is a chance you can blow it up if your engine backfires?

 

And 275hp out of an L20b? I've never heard of these engines reaching that kind of output!

go do your research, theres more than one way to do a turbo set up, and a carbed one at that.

 

you need to start educating yourself on the basics of turbo charging before anything

and then start asking actual worth while questions.

read cover to cover and repeat.

On a draw through yes, because fuel and air both would be in the intercooler. On a blow through setup the pressurized air gets to the inlet of the carburetor after it goes through the intercooler, so it's okay.
