kurt appley
I was told by the local nissan parts guy that 620 hanger bearings are no longer available. These things give trouble regularly so I'm sure there are some creatative solutions. Or are they available???? Thanks in advance, Kurt. Quote Link to comment

datsunaholic
Hanger bearing? What, like the bushings in the leaf spring ends? They give trouble? I've never worn one out... even in the 350,000 mile truck, or the 220,000 mile Minnesota Rustbucket. Quote Link to comment

Braden
driveshaft center support bearing is available from anchor engine mount company for like 17 bucks Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Those bearing are trouble free. What goes bad is the rubber isolator. It splits and rots away allowing the drive shaft to flop around. Redeye got my last one..... (but I got two '73 fender emblems for it.... sucker) Years ago I fixed this problem by cutting away the old rubber and metal ring and replace with a 2"? strip of 1/4" conveyor belt long enough to wrap around the outer bearing shell 5-6 times. I used stove pipe wire but a large gear clamp would be better. When wrapped the U shaped strap must clamp it down securely so cut only enough off to get it on tight. I only did this untill I could replace it ... but it worked so well I left it and it worked ace. The strange noise and thumping and shuddering was gone. . Quote Link to comment
kurt appley
Thanks all. I call them hanger bearings cause that is what I had always heard them called on 2 ton trucks. I guess driveshaft support bearing would be more appropriate. Anyway would you have the part number, ghettobraden??? S'pose I can find them on line. Thanks again, Kurt. Quote Link to comment

Kurt, Did you ever get a PN on this? Or does anyone else know it? I went to the above company and its not listed. I need one also while I have the drive shafts unhooked. Thanks Kevin Quote Link to comment
