The red "find" 67 520 now lives life in San Luis Obispo, Ca. with my dog Maggie and myself as a daily driver.

My Gramp's 520, circa early '70s:

Um, wow. That red 520... My 520 had an identical canopy on it when I got it- round front, pointed rear. My 520 was from California- the canopy had an El Cajon dealer logo on it (actually I still have the canopy), and my 520 had a white step bumper on it (however it did not wrap around like the one pictured). Now, my 520 was yellow when I bought it but originally was red and I repainted it back to red. The guy I bought it from said he got it from an elderly man who owned it from new, and split his time between California and Washington.

 

 

That's mine, after removal of the old canopy, repainted red, and the old West Coast mirrors replaced with (still very large) swing mirrors. Since then it has had the incorrect 620 hubcaps (it had none when I got it) replaced with correct 520 hubcaps.
