510 / S-2000 engine and 6 speed /dat posi

I bought a 69 510 with S-2000 eng and 6sp all installed. They made a tube crossmember, looks good but what

is normally done. I have steering to finish, should I stay with old box? but with front cross member dont think

I can put in a F steer rack and P. Love to here what some one did with this hard swap. thanks farmer

This is what I'm about to do to a 510 Goon.

 

Get some pics up and I'll give you some guidance. You can check out my MX520 build for some ideas, search "Project MX520". I put a Miata motor and trans in a 1966 520 pickup.

It's funny the wiper transmission is still in place, you can see the stems poking through the cowl, but there's no wiper motor. :) I agree, I hate to see a Honda motor in a Datsun, but if I had a free S2000 motor, I'd drop it in in a heartbeat. Awesome power to weight, and bulletproof Honda reliability. Same motor my Datsun guru runs in his open wheel car.
