67411sss
I am starting to go through our NOS stuff and i found a couple of websites that help with breaking down parts numbers. Some of the numbers don't come up in the search, for example 80600-44002 is a door lock, the keys and lock have 8800 stamped into them(i am including a pic of it) the closest i can narrow down is to a 1960-70 datsun through key codes. Does anyone know of a website that lists what model datsun the part # goes to, all i can get is brief description and price but not the model it fits. Here are some pics so far. 620 tach mystery lock 510 tail light lense 620 fender emblems anyone know what this goes on i have 6 of these but no part # anyone? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
For a guide, look here: Nissan Part Numbers It indicates that 80600-44002 has applied model code 440. The tachometer is either Datsun 620 or Datsun 1200. Either the part number or a photo of the back will help identify it further. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The headlight fits most 1976-1986 cars with four square headlights: Datsun, Ford, Toyota, Buick, etc. Quote Link to comment
67411sss
The tach is a 620 i could work that out of the part # it's only some that don't come up. Thanks for the website i'll check it out. Quote Link to comment
67411sss
I just looked at that website and 440 isn't on there  Quote Link to comment
67411sss
I've noticed that the earlier models are not listed, no 311,410,411 or most 60's datsun models. Might have to dig out the old parts catalogs. Quote Link to comment

Likely L16/18 not likely for an L20B as the U67 head didn't have manifold coolant holes. Would work on them though. Would not work on L20Bs from '78 and on. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The lock is Patrol. Full part number verified. 80600-44002 CYLINDER-LOCK OPTION I guess some Patrols came without door locks? Patrol, 410 and 411 codes are listed on 2nd and 3rd pages: Go to Nissan Part Numbers and click "Early Applied Model Codes". There is also "Applied Model Codes 2" Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The 1200 tachometer that looks like the one in the photo is 24855-H3400. 24855-H1000 is the older style with different colors. 620 dash and 1200 dash are same design, but with unique differences. I'm using a 620 tachometer in my 1200, bolts right in. Quote Link to comment
67411sss
Thanks for the clarification, the tach # 24855b8000 which if i'm not mistaken is for a 620. I didn't check out the other pages  It is going to be a long process going through the parts to identify. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes, 24855-B8000 is 1976-1978. It superceeded the PN 24840-B6400 which was used pre-76. You can make a quick, fairly accurate guess with the applied model code. Or just search google for the full part number I often find matches that way. Quote Link to comment

Dat Man is The Man! Bang on ggzilla, I copied the wrong number down. Should have noticed the first 5 characters didn't match the first 5 for the 1200 tach. My bad an I corrected my text. Charlie69
Great I am trying to get an actual early 520 gas door with lock as the blue one I pictured is a later model 520 and is the same shape as the 521's. This is the style I am looking for. Quote Link to comment
