81datsun
Hey i just picked up a 1981 Datsun 210 for $100.00. I am new to datsuns and i was wondering if any parts off the 510's would work on mine? Quote Link to comment
Capital15
Welcome! Good pick up on your 210!! POst some pics of it when u get a chance. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Fill out your profile with your general location and the cars you have. The 510 has the L series motor and drive line while yours is the A series so not much will swap there. Edited November 11, 2009 by datzenmike Quote Link to comment
81datsun
Thanks. I would post some pictures up but i am not really sure how too. The guy i bought my datsun from parked it because the starter went out on it. That was 6 years ago. I put a starter in it and gave it a good tune up and it runs fine now. Quote Link to comment
Capital15
You can use photo hosting sites like photobucket to post pics on here. Is that it on your avatar? It looks like it can be a very clean car with some work. Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Yes, a lot of parts from 1978-1981 Datsun 510 will fit. Not much from original 510 series will fit. Quote Link to comment
Mini-L320
wow I can see why you got it for only $100. its got some bad rust spots and on the edges(worst places) , hey if it runs thats a deal. I got the same one and bought it for $1400. with only 52,000 original miles. Mine had no rust or dents on it tho. but great find. Quote Link to comment
Mini-L320
What tire size are you running on the Back? they look pretty wide. Quote Link to comment
N0RCALDIME
nice find and good luck! Quote Link to comment
leosnake
Same color as mine... Quote Link to comment
81datsun
Yah the rust is pretty bad in some spots. The drivers side floor pan has a nice chunk out of it. I am not sure what the rear tire size is those tires came with the rims so i will have to look when i get the chance. Yah its like 0 degrees here right now and the only problems i have had with it was that i had to change a tire so i figure thats not to bad. Every morning it starts right up. I also got a set of fenderflares for free brand new ,but those will juss sit in my room till the snow clears. Quote Link to comment
81datsun
hey i have a chance to buy a 38/38 dgas weber will this work on my a12a? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes, it will "work", but is too big for the engine. Also it is a high-performance weber compared to the 32/36. Wide-open throttle perf may be good, but you won't get as good drivebility as the 32/36 nor as good as the stock 2-barrel Hitachi. Quote Link to comment
