Eagle_Adam
Good for you guys. Keep up the good work. thnx micro No, paint the grill black again? yep, the first time it got painted just ended up chipping and looking like crap. So time for another coat besides, jassifrass has another stock grill ;) I like the 2 big resevore trick  :ninja: Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
front breaks are done The new 15/16th's master is in still having issues bleeding it but im not done yet That's an awfully large master for the stock brakes. In my sedan I couldn't find a 3/4" master in my pile but there was a 13/16 from an S110 I could use. Just going up 1/16" in size really firmed up the peddle. You're going up 3/16" so expect a very firm peddle with increased effort to come to a stop. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Yes that did cross my mind. lolz    I don't have the zx brakes but I do have the Maxima station wagon struts and calipers/vented rotors from the zx platform and I know I might be a bit biased, but I think they are superb! I love the braking. Just enough effort for good feedback, not stiff, but also not so effortless you lock them up easily. 1 Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
id really like to see jassifrass with 4 wheel disc breaks, just gotta research more. Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
more toys and more work Datrod made another set of these so we picked one up to go with the freshly bead blasted and painted valve cover that will be going on Goki just sent this out, it will cover most of the top of the hatch glass No pics but we have also continued the emissions delete and general clean up and un cluttering of the engine bay Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
and the destruction continues: Your not supposed to see light through here -.- so off with trim and time for a re-seal so water doesnt pour into the cab and onto the floor boards time to treat this to the best of our abilities (honestly i thought it would be 10 x worse :) ) Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
HUGE thanx to Redbanner for the help with the window trim!!!!! Not sure if i like windows that are glued in or not :hmm: Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
It's much better than trying to find nonexistent seals :) Quote Link to comment

Eagle_Adam
It's much better than trying to find nonexistent seals :) true enough woot, no problems guys, the first trim i removed was scary. And your missed matched clips would have made it harder for shure lol. ya, it would been nerve racking without your help. Thanx again My sedan... thanx mike...... :hmm: .. how bad did it look before you took out the glass? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
You could see a small bubbling above the chrome trim but nothing really. It leaked terrible and Grahem, who I got it from, had to store outside and have the drain plug in the pass floor open. I stored for the winter of '08/'09 with a garbage bag draped over that area. We mentioned the leak to the body guy and he yanked it out to find.... Good that you have a goon as the lower part under the rear window rots away too. It all had to be welded up, painted and glass put back in. Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
damn, i was surprised that the tools we used and razor blades didn't punch thru the rust! One day the wagon will go down for paint and then we will see what it really looks like in there. Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
so the break master not bleeding wasnt an issue i cause the master is bad, the push rods wont return after being compressed here you can see its still stuck so i picked up another 3/4 master stripped it down, cleaned it and put in the new bleeder screws i picked up from Nissan ( thanx again to nismo dr) got it all put back together and ready to bench bleed Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
jassifrass got the final coat of purple and a coat of clear coat on the valve cover and got the grill fully prepped for paint! Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Yup, had them stick too. All mine have been sitting in a shed for 10 years or so. The brake fluid absorbs water and or crystallizes inside. The metal parts rust too. I just banged on a block of wood and the piston popped out, but, it was for the best to replace with the next one. jassifrass got the final coat of purple and a coat of clear coat on the valve cover and got the grill fully prepped for paint! Likes purple I see. Has this got something to do with the color scheme of the car? Quote Link to comment

Its been on stands for almost a month now. Likes purple I see. Has this got something to do with the color scheme of the car? i dunno, i know her favorite color is purple but when i suggested she paint the trim for the grill purple she hesistated and passed on the idea. datzenmike
Smart. I've seen some strange color schemes in the engine bay... and that's fine, but outside it would (or should) harmonize with the rest of the car. Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
anybody have brilliant ideas for how to clean and shine up the grill trim and the windshield trim? Quote Link to comment

Eagle_Adam
seems to be the consensus, time to buy a buffing wheel!! I love tools Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I bought an 8" wheel and put on my grinder. Spins faster and I can use both hands. Watch out for too much heat, it gets HOT. Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
ive found a few drill attachments and grinder attachments, this might be a good excuse to get a bench mounted application. dash/glovebox/ and new package tray are all back in the grill got its first coat of black Quote Link to comment
