if this can fit my wagon or at least the center section I may buy. I am in san francisco. Datzenmike I lost your info on this but can you refresh me if this can fit a wagon rear end with changing the inner gears on the axles. I am just wondering how it would be for my car as i have a 81 zx trans and long rod motor.

Your memory serves you well grasshoppa. The side gears would need to be changed for the ones in your goon. 4:37's would be KILLER if you were drag racing. :D

The '81 zx has a monster over drive ratio so going to 4.375 will tame that a bit and give you back some highway acceleration.

I bought this with the plan to use the gears in my wagon, but have since changed plans. I had offers just for the gears by wagon guys, and just for the axles by truck guys, but I don't plan on disassembly. I paid $75 for it a couple months ago, so anyone willing to pick up the whole thing gets the same deal.

Easy to take apart... drain, remove 4 X 17mm bolts on each side, cut brake line and yank the axels out (with drums on), remove the 12 X 12mm bolts from diff and pull it forward and out. Done this in a wrecking yard in 15 min including taking the drive shaft off.
