kgrantkey
Frankenstein motors: Medium block 2.4 Liter. Stuff a Z24 crank and pistons into NAPS-Z or L20B block bored to 89mm by...................collect all the parts at pick-n-pull JY and buy it as a rebuildable short block.......... .........you can find a write up on some mix and match engine parts to create a "Frankenstein motor" I was a long time chevy small block fan for years because everything bolted together for some curious builds. I currently have an S10 pkup with a v6 vortec, parts for a 350 Small block chevy are sometimes cheaper than the V6 and bolt right up. Tons of 350 parts out there. I purchased a manifold adapter for my L20b intake at a speed shop the other day and they had a set of forged aluminum pistons for a 350 chevy on sale for 65.00. Use 6 and have 2 spares:) Quote Link to comment
dat u racing
I used J&E pistons with carrillo "A"beam rods 11.8-1 comp. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I purchased a manifold adapter for my L20b intake at a speed shop the other day and they had a set of forged aluminum pistons for a 350 chevy on sale for 65.00. The Chev pistons would have to have a similar diameter or within boring distance and the pin height to match the rod not to mention the pin fitting the rod. Sure they were forged and not everyday hypereutectic ones? $8.12 for a forged piston is kind of cheap even if used. Lot of variables. Is there a site that has piston sizes to compare them?? Well i got huge balls and i drive like a fat chick headed towards an all you can eat buffet. but i got no money or a trailer. Mine aren't huge but I do have polyorchidism.... close enough?
