maximo
I have a 76 L20B engine. It has the stove top intake and exhaust manifold, I want to get rid of it, I already have the exhaust mani + the intake mani. The problem is that my intake mani is water heated and the head doesn't have the holes for the water heated manifold. I was told that I can drill the holes on the head using the holes on the gasket and using a 1/2 inch drill bit. Now is this true, has anybody done this????????? Quote Link to comment
Phlebmaster
Yes it is true.....you can do that. :D But you don't have to if you don't want to, just plug the hose leading to your intake from the front cover and call it done. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I would do it as it aids drive ability when engine is cold and helps when it's really COLD out. Quote Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
drill a 1/4 inch No need to make it too big. More liley to leak/suck water if bigger than needed. I know the sotck size is big but 1/4 inch is fine just enought to pass water. Keep you from OVERwrenching intake exhaust if it does leak. Quote Link to comment
Jester
I know from building my 300-6 for my Ford, the guys at Clifford Perf. recomended I go with the water heated intake adapter. They said I would want it here in Oregon. I loved it. :D Quote Link to comment
