U67 head?????

I have a 76 L20B engine. It has the stove top intake and exhaust manifold, I want to get rid of it, I already have the exhaust mani + the intake mani. The problem is that my intake mani is water heated and the head doesn't have the holes for the water heated manifold. I was told that I can drill the holes on the head using the holes on the gasket and using a 1/2 inch drill bit. Now is this true, has anybody done this?????????

Yes it is true.....you can do that. :D

 

But you don't have to if you don't want to, just plug the hose leading to your intake from the front cover and call it done.

I would do it as it aids drive ability when engine is cold and helps when it's really COLD out.

drill a 1/4 inch No need to make it too big.

More liley to leak/suck water if bigger than needed.

I know the sotck size is big but 1/4 inch is fine just enought to pass water.

 

Keep you from OVERwrenching intake exhaust if it does leak.

I know from building my 300-6 for my Ford, the guys at Clifford Perf. recomended I go with the water heated intake adapter. They said I would want it here in Oregon. I loved it. :D

will do, I'm glad I talked to you guys, I almost bought a 1/2 inch drill bit cause I didn't have one.
