I was an air-cooled vw man first, and would like to apply some old school style to my 620. The 620 slammed on fuchs is too sick! Str8_69 Posted August 24, 2009 Report Share Posted August 24, 2009 Way back when I had this 69 Volvo 142 that I had gotten a gutter mount ski rack for, hauled all sorts of stuff on it... including skis, still see them at garbage sales from time to time dirt cheap. Didn't leave a mark on the car. Slice of plywood and a couple u-bolts makes 4 lotsa storage. Aerodynamics is for wind tunnels, not gettin places:D Quote Link to comment
HRH Posted August 24, 2009 Report Share Posted August 24, 2009 Form follows function. A truck has a bed, therefore doesn't need a rack. Any rack on a 620 or 521 is going to have to be really low and have very few rails to look good, which means it will be basically a non-functional rack. My .02, racks look good on wagons, that's it.
